I have shocking teeth that get worse during pg. I needed one out in first trimester this time and the dentist and surgeon wouldn't do it as they said there were risks to baby's development. My ob said it was better to have the tooth attended too.

When I was pg with dd I had a tooth out in third trimester without incident

I had all my wisdom teeth out under GA when 5 weeks pg with DS. I didn't realise at the time as I did a pg test the day before & it was a false -ve. Anyway, as soon as I realised I was pg I freaked out, and rang the anaethetist, dentist & gp who all assured me it would all be ok. They said they probably wouldn't have gone ahead if I had known though. I did tell them we were TTC beforehand as well so they could choose pg safe drugs & I didn't take painkillers other than panadol & nurofen after. My DS was fine
