DD went through nothing like that. Hers were almost out, but just wouldn't come out completely. They hurt for her to keep moving them, but they didn't need much to be pulled.
They put some anaesthetic on them & gave her a tissue first to see if she could get them herself. She couldn't get hold of the teeth, coz they were too small, so the dentist just got the plier things & did it there & then.
Because they were loose anyway, they didn't actually need to be extracted. She felt them come out, but it didn't hurt. The same way as most of us would've felt when we were kids & pulled out a loose tooth. After seeing them do it I think that'd be the best way to go. Putting them under a ga for something so small would more than likely just make a big deal out of what is really nothing at all. Unless the baby teeth hadn't loosened at all. I guess they might need something more then
DD1 was smiling & happy straight after, as you can see from the photo. That was 10 minutes later.
