I broke 1/4 off my very back tooth on my right side soon after I arrived in Melbourne back in 92. I didn't have a dentist down here and then soon after I broke my knee (patella) badly and the tooth was forgotten about for 2 years!!!! Then after my DD was born I had it rebuilt by a lovely female dentist. She was very gentle and she even encouraged dentist-phobic DH to visit her even though he hadn't been to a dentist for 8 years! Now he goes every 6 months.

Anyhow I would go the rebuilding option if you can. Mine has lasted since 95 and so far so good.
