Mouth ulcer - Infected?

Is it possible for a mouth ulcer to get infected? I have one on the inside of my cheek and it keeps rubbing up against my teeth and the whole side is pretty much swollen and sore. Is it infected or just really irritated? How can i make it go away? It kills!

Oh God, mouth ulcers are the worst, I get them all the time.
You need some stuff from the chemist called 'kenalog' The best thing in the world. I always use to put bonjela on them to make them not hurt. But this stuff actually heals them in 1-2 days!! Magic!!

Thanks for that SJ! Yeah i've been putting Bonjela on it too but it only helps for like half an hour. Will see if i can find the kenalog.

Well i bought the Kenalog last night. Worked a treat! Not totally gone yet so will put some more on tonight but it has gone down HEAPS! Thanks again SJ!

Kenalog is fantastic stuff, they actually use it for after surgery pain too. I hope it works well for you Tegan. A while back Noah had a virus of some kind and his whole mouth was ulcerated, gum's tongue, lips, throat, the whole lot. Was very, very painfull for him.
