Absolutely do it.
Those last few weeks do drag a little.. so youll be killing 2 birds with 1 stone so to speak. I know with those correspondance things they give you the assignments to do and you just hand them in at their due dates, so nothing stopping you getting ahead like you said and then taking it slow down the track when bubs comes along until things are in a routine. Even when theyre born, they spend alot of the first month sleeping so i dont see why you shouldnt be able to continue... youll be fine im sure
