Flexibility and good time management are the key! Like Shaz I didn't have children when studying but was working and volunteering (and being PG towards the end) at the same time. I found being flexible and having good time management got me through. Study when you can, even if it is only half an hour. And making time for your family. Even though your family might be understanding - make time for them so none of you resent your study time... Also saves your sanity!!!! Good Luck with your course!
