I'm a last minute kind of girl. My idea of a great subject is one where assessment is 100% exam. I cram leading up to it, scribble furiously for 3 hours during then walk out as ignorant as I was before I started. The text books and learning then come out when I actually have to apply something in the real world.

On of the best things that helped me study was a speed reading course. I was able to use that to get through material efficiently. In my Masters degree half of the readings were supurfluous. It was a matter of working out a logical way to answer an assignment and finding the reference material to back it up. All this worked for me unless the subjects involved maths, in which case I usually had to actually learn something so spent more hours on it. If it was how modern business management is influenced by Marx, Plato or Machiavelli then I just grabbed a few points and ran with it.

The trick with education is knowing how you best learn and adapting accordingly.
