An excellent summary, without the gory details, of what I had to say!

Aw, thanks so much girls, I didn't expect so much support when I originally posted - shoulda known better

Well after initially thinking this application process seemed waaaaay too easy - I'm now stressed out about getting copies of all the docs I need (mainly just academic records from HSC and two TAFE courses i've done) and getting them all verified and in the post by tomorrow! Major blunder tonight but won't bore you with the details, hopefully it'll be sorted and in the post by tomorrow afternoon.

Was tempted to think 'if I can't even get the application sorted, how am I going to go if I actually get in??!!' but pushing those thoughts out of my head!

Darl, the paperwork is always the hardest because it's BORING and it should be easy but they make you jump through hoops ... banish those thoughts! I'm allergic to forms and window-faced envelopes myself.

    You'll be right!

Let us know if you get it all together and in on time

The on time closing date is Friday with the final closing date being 10 December. I'm really hoping to post it tonight but it's not looking good. I'm waiting on a letter of reference from my boss which I then need to copy and verify. Everytime I think I've got it all together, I think of something else that I should include. It's driving me NUTS! Total pain trying to run around getting everything copied and verified with two littlies in tow.

I called and spoke to the uni and the first lady was great, but the second kinda wiped out any confidence I had. She must have said 4 times 'Just remember if you don't get in, and I'm not saying you won't...' - ah yeah, I kinda think that's what you're saying at this point! LOL.

But all I can do is try. I haven't told anyone I'm applying except my DH and a friend who is verifiying all my docs (she's a solicitor) so I won't feel like too much of a loser if I don't get in. Well except here with you guys! LOL.

Willow have you done a covering letter (letter of motivation)? This played a large part in me getting into my chosen course. If you PM me your email address I can send you a copy of mine.

Bugger Amy, it's too late! I sent the stoopid things off this afternoon. I did think about a covering letter but didn't know how that worked with this sort of an application having never done one before - I kinda thought it best to stick to what they'd asked me to provide. Obviously not the right call!!

To be honest, I'm so over the whole thing right now, was so glad to put them in the post box and forget about them!

I think at this point it's pretty safe to assume I probably won't get in, but there are other options if I don't (like that lady on the phone kept telling me today! LOL). I could always do a single subject next semester and she said that would definitely get me in next time. Although she did say it was expensive to do it that way.

I'd still love to see a copy of your letter, maybe I can do one next time

**ETA: Amy, just read your letter in your thread about it...if I'm up against people who've included letters like that, I'm in the can!! LOL...

I'd still write the letter and then the person getting it will probably fish out your application to match it to the letter. It shouldn't be too late to do that
