I'm impatient too. Not looking forward to it. I'm leaving it as long as possible to submit everything because then I feel like it will take less long to hear back, mmmhmmm.
If i have been acepted to uni before, but then pulled out ( i dont know if i deferred or if i just cancelled) do I have to go through a full app again?
Well I'm the opposite to you. I'm currently studying full time on campus but next semester I will defer and then not sure if I will go back part time or do distance ed like you .... hmmm *thinks* ... I wonder what studying with a baby is like...
I got into psych nursing this year but I rejected it and took another preference but I still have doubts whether I chose the right course! Nursing sounds great so best of luck. I applied I think in September/October last year and waiting is soo annoying!! At the moment I'm just waiting to see if my application for intermission for next semester is approved...I can't see how they would reject it!
This year I got into Bachelor of Midwifery at ACU Brisbane but had to turn down my place due to the fact that I couldn't enrol part-time (even though at their melbourne campus you can enrol part-time), the Uni is about 1.5 hour away, I had a new baby and financially we needed me to go back to work part time too.
My utmost passion is to become a midwife and as I am working part-time and planning on another baby next year I think I am going to apply to do nursing externally through Central QLD Uni then do a masters in Mid after that. It will be a long haul I know (about 7 years all up) and I'd love to be able to just get in there and do a BMid degree but I think this is the avenue that best suits our situation.
Spice, the BMid at the uni near me is rather inflexible too. It looks like an awesome degree, but you have to do it full time as they do not offer part time at all. So it ends up being like 4 days a week on campus plus heaps and heaps of clinical plus you have to be 'on call' for your follow-through families.. I'd apply for it but it just wont be doable. Apparently you also cant defer or take a leave of absence part way through. Plus, the TER score is the same as that for nursing. I've applied for nursing instead as you can do it part tim and I can squeeze all my classes into just two days.

Saw your post and just wanted to give all of you big hugs of encouragement. I started uni when my first bubba turned 1, and it was the most exciting, challenging but rewarding thing to do.
The best part was actually having a day where you were an adult, independant, and free for a day, instead of being "Chloe's Mum". I really enjoyed it.
One of the things that disillusioned me was the friend factor, I thought it would be like highschool and have lots of friends! But being an elder student, and part-time, I didn't really click with the 'gangs', and then I realised - I didn't want to either. Just because I had my bubba and family at home, and that is where I wanted to hang out IYKWIM.
I really hope all you ladies get the courses you want and really enjoy uni, or any other study...
