hey guys, I know this is a bit old but I use ittis all the time and found theyre not the most absorbent but what I have been doing is using the IB aio,(the one with the sewn in hourglass booster) with the folded up booster bit from the snap in ones (either the hourglass one folded over and put behind the sewn in one or the squarish folded up one laying under the sewn in bit) works really well for overnight, for us anyway!
Hi Guys, I may have found a solution to the leaking and thought I'd share it, even though this thread is a bit old! Hope that's ok!
I have an 8 kg ish boy (10 months) who is 50th centile for height and just above 3rd for weight- so tall and skinny i guess. I have been using IB's since about a month old with no probs, but now leaking out of legs EVERY time, usually after only an hour. I am now using mediums on tightest setting. I thought it was just wetting through as he is peeing more than before and went and bought loads of mini boosters...
BUT, I think I've worked out form some frenzied googling that this is more of a fit problem and we have "wing droop"- I'd heard of this but never knew what it was. Basically because he is on tightest setting, the "wings" ie outside bits of the front section are flapping loose and causing leaking around the legs. Anyway, if you snap the first side poppers to the outermost front section poppers and then the second side popper to tighten the nappy ie for me this is the middle poppers of the eight running across the front- you end up with a little pleat in the front of the nappy, then the leg holes are fixed in place and you don't get the wing droop. It's kind of hard to explain easily
I've only tried it once this morning but I had an IB on with no booster for 2.5 hours and NO LEAK!!! Hurrah! So excited that I might not have to replace ALL of my nappies.
You clever cloth veterans probably know of this trick already but I thought I'd share it in case it might help anyone else.
