I've started 365 as well. I'm really bad at photography - even though I studied it at uni - so I know all the really technical stuff but can't compose a photo if my life depends on it!
So instead I am following the daily activities of a cloth doll in the hope it will be more like a diary of what we get up to.
I'm muppity in there (probably a good description of my photography skills!) off to add more people to my follow list
I did something similar in 2010 with a bright orange donkey, which we (DH, myself and two mates) aptly named 'Space Donkey' - and when we all went away on a driving holiday/getaway with said friends, I made a small 'comic strip' up with the photos I'd taken featuring Space Donkey I'm thinking of putting an item in the photos I take that'll be in each photo for the month (eg Space Donkey in the background of a photo of DS one day, next day will be a photo of the house with Space Donkey smelling the flowers etc)

Kim - there's an awesome photographer I love called My 4 Hens Photography and she's started a Flickr group for the challenge using a weekly theme. Add your photos to the group and tadaa!! First weeks word is 'resolution' and you can interpret as you see fit! I really wish I could do the 365.... But last year was an epic fail!!

I am trying the 365 so far. You can find me as Astrolady on the project 365 website. I am expecting the novelty to wear off LOL. Probably when the boys go back to school, but we'll see how we go.

Yep, I getcha. I've had a many times where I was so close to stopping as well as a heaps of times where I was a month behind in uploads but I still took a photo (or 10) a day. I found once I got near half way I knew I could keep going. Good luck. I'm on the countdown and I'm so excited I stuck with it the whole way.

I'm so not arty, but it is getting me to think of how to portray my life and what are highlights ect...I have an awesome pic of DD and her bestie from today, it is just SO them, but DD buddy is just in her knickers and I wouldn't feel comfy showing that So I have one of DD dancing her little heart out instead

    screw them.

basically all of my pics are just taken with my phone, and are things that make me think of things ... or things which remind me or something else ... or things that I think look nice ... or things that caught my eye ...

I'm not a great photographer, but the project isn't about being a great photographer. it's about whatever you want it to be about - for me, it's opening up my eyes a bit more, and looking around, and sharing some of what I come across from day to day.

it sure as **** isn't about bagging other people for liking - or doing - things with their photos, or using subject matter that doesn't appeal to me, or which I reckon is over done.

that's just pretentious, self centred, and ****house, to be blunt.

    so yeah, screw 'em.

I have just added a heap of people to follow

You guys are all so creative!!

BTW, does anyone have any followers who they have no idea who they are? I have two followers who I don't know who they are and have no friends in common...not that I mind terribly, it's not like I will be posting photos of things I don't want others to see (obviously!!) but just thought it strange that people who have no idea of who I am would want to follow me...??

I often do that Delph - take one each day but not get the time to actually upload it.

I've been using Picnik for a few of my photos, I love how they turn out! I feel a little bit like it's cheating though, like I'm not actually taking such a fantastic photo, it's just edited. Although I usually just make the colours sharper or the light better, I dunno. I just reckon I'll be taking better shots when I have a better camera that can do more with focus and lighting.

I was trying to play around with apeture- so that I could acheive a blurred background. Anyway- It turns out my camera isn't good enough to do this kind of thing I was abit deflated about that

I too think that maybe I would over edit a photo. I went into picnik the other day and went abit crazy- there are soo many functions lol. What are your favorite picnik functions?
