That's what both my DDs diagnosis' were. From what I can recall, the ortho surgeon said it is based purely on waiting their growth and development in order for proper alignment to occur. Both my girls had xrays and us at 6weeks, then 3 6, 12 and 18mths to ensure that the ball was sitting in the socket.
