I still struggle to fight back the tears when I read Em's story, the dribs and drabs posted around here, and looking at photos of when she was in hospy are hard for me. But they are healing, sometimes it does help to look back and see how far they and we have come.
While reading these stories I have the same feelings my son was sick at birth and even now I get a lump in my throat when I see the pictures . when I smell something that takes me back to the SCN.

I am so sorry to hear of all of the troubles you've had on your journey to bring your little girl into the world. Seems like both Matilda and her Mummy are strong warriors...

I've been lurking since you started & while my DS doesn't have the complications your beautiful DD does after he was born he was in the humidicrib & I wasn't able to hold him for over 14 hrs, your story has brought those emotions back again.

Thanks so much for sharing your story & you are such a strong & amazing mum for matilda. I love your new u/name & thought something was wrong at first.

Hope that getting all this down is helping you work through the emotions and heal. It will be such a great memento for Matilda one day.

Matilda is such a lucky girl to have you two as her parents. I have enjoyed reading your story so far, At times happy for you guys and other times in tears for your heartache.

For someone so young you are amazing and your little girl will appreciate everything you do for her.
