I felt emotional- it marked the end of pregnancy & exclusive breastfeeding and I felt a bit redundant (even though I was still BFing heaps). The idea that I was no longer the sole provider of this little person's growth was sadder than I expected. I remember looking at him just before he ate food, sitting up, happy and big and thinking "Wow- I made that!". Still makes me teary to think of it.
With regards to food choices I guess it was never a concern for me as we don't have much family around so I never thought anyone but me (and my H, but really mainly me) would be making his food choices. Now he's so fussy Icouldn't care less if someone offered him a lollipop- I'm always curious to see if he'll try something new
