Hi Meercat Your mothers group would be shocked at what we let DD2 eat, the other night she tucked in thai green curry with us, and loved it. I was a bit worried about no 2's the next day but they were fine.

DD2 actually had pizza for the first time last night, she was doing her happy little eating dance which means she really really enjoys it. I mean, who doesn't love pizza.

Starangelk, Ive actually got 3 friends, and one friend has 3 out of 4 of her kids with coeliac. Funny thing is 2 of them are identical twin girls, one has been diagnosed and the other still hasn't triggered. She has to let the one who hasn't eat at least one serve of gluten a day, the specialist said until she is shows signs and is diagnosed its best for her body to have an intake so her system learns to digest gluten, and then they can also tell when her symptoms appear to. Cause they don't know when it will, they said it could be years and years, so in the mean time she can happily eat it whenever she wants. Funny thing isn't it, considering they are genetically identical. I'm actually decorating one friends gf birthday cake this week, my first attempt at gf mud, fingers crossed.

You could always do vege stick and dip for morning tea too. Pushing carrot sticks through hommus is a hit at the moment, but I think more for the fun factor. And no matter how egg is cooked, it is still high allergen. Egg white is the most common part, but some people are allergic to the yolk as well. Cooking the egg white damages some proteins but most stay. If an allergy doesn't run in the family, the risks are lower, but its safest to keep an eye on them the first few times they have it, as its not always the first time that there is a reaction. OMG its amazing that doing a stupid assignment on eggs in high school stays in your memory.

We had chicken, vege and coucous for dinner tonight. It was hilarious watching DD2 trying to work out how to get it in her mouth with her fingers, she gave up and bent over and started hoovering it off her highchair
