Ok, I have a question. How does your LO differentiate between food and toys? I mean, no matter what I give Peter, he will look at it, then touch it, then put it in his mouth- could be a toy, could be food, could be the cat's tail.

Then its like when he discovers its food and it has a taste, unless its yogurt or arrowroot, he pulls the "why are you trying to poison me, mum?" face and shudders and spits it out. I do try to limit food to when he's in his highchair, but then often he gets bored in his highchair so we give him a toy as well.....how is he supposed to know a bit of broccoli isn't a new toy? Does it even matter if he can't tell the difference?

I just worry maybe he doesn't understand its food and he's supposed to eat it....
