Amelia because Emelia is a misspelling. Emilia is very nice though, and you can say it's like Emily with -ia at the end instead of a y. If you tell them it's Italian for Emily, they'll remember the spelling better. Emelia will just get mistaken for Amelia.

Hey there, we are thinking about the same two names and can't decide between the A and the E either

I like E a bit more but then I am an Emma so we'd both be nicknamed "Em" which could get confusing. But then DH was looking at the meanings of the two (as they are different) and Amelia had one meaning as "born without limbs" and that put me right off!!

Emilia is the spelling I like and DH likes Emelia so if we did go with the E, we'd still have to debate the spelling. We have a few other names in mind but Amelia/Emilia/Emelia is the front runner at the moment.

Good luck with your decision making! I'm finding it so hard

THanks everyone for your advice. Told DH about Emilia, and now he is leaning towards that, so no resolution yet, but we will owrk it out soon!!!
