Oh for crying out loud!! I LOVE the name Leah, can even come at spelling it Le-ah. But not saying le-dash-ah. That's just beyond rediculous.

So do you mean they pronounce it like (Princess) Leia? or they actually say Ledasha?

    what the?!

And they get upset at people saying it incorrectly?! That's just ridiculous! You can't honestly expect people to verbalize a punctuation mark,..... Can you?!

That is just mean to the child. I would have assumed it was Leah, with an odd spelling

thats exactly what I did, it was followed by a 3min lecture on how to say the name, and ranting about how no-one ever gets it right. Oh i wonder why???

I work in mid and some of the names/spellings are just down right wrong. You wonder if the parents actually sit back and consider the impact on their childs life?

Maybe you need to tell them it's actually a hyphen so her name should be lehyphena.

Please tell me you replied by saying that if she didnt want people to get her daughters name wrong then she shouldnt have given her such a stupid spelling for her name!
