    Boy or Girls name?

I would really love your opinions on what you first think when you hear the name Kadan?

Do you think boy or girl?

This is the first name DH has been really happy with but my first thought was boys name but the more I think of it I really like it. It mixes a bit of both our first names.

I can't see that as a girls' name whatsoever, sorry. That said, girls can have "boy" names can't they? There's some girls out there named Dylan, for example...

My initial thought was a boys name, but the more I think of it I can see it as quite unisex. Kay is a girls name after all and this is not so different. I like it.

Pronounced KY-DAN we have a male relative with this name BUT i have heard of a little girl name KAY-DAN.. i think it's all in the pronunciation, but i think it's a cute name and could fit either sex.

Thanks. It would be pronounced Kay-dan do maybe spelling it with a y might make prenounciation of it.

I know what you mean Tenibear, I just think of names like Peta, Darcy and what you said and think how common it is to be used for both sexes.

I guess with all names there will be people who find them gender specific even when they are unisex. (I think I just answered my own question)
