I think it is a boys name...it is too masculine for me to see it as a girls name.

pronounced kydan I think it is really a boys name, pronounced kay-dan is a little more feminine but still a boys name as far as I have met. But if the name is coming to you, no matter what sex it is, go with the impulse as it is the bubba speaking the name it needs for this incarnation.

My first thought is BOY, but the more I think of it...it could be unisex?

Thanks ladies for your views on the name. It really seems to be more of a boy name although I have never met a caden. My problem now is that the more I keep thinking of it the more I like it and could see it for a girl (maybe it is like ladybird said, some bubs choose their names). We are a very active family and DD although only 14 months out is already such a tom boy just like me so there is every chance that this bubs could suit having a name like Kaydan.

Well I guess I still have 3 months to think about it.

Def a boy name I think. I went to school with a guy called Kaid though so that might be swaying me a bit.
