Boys names - something a bit different but not too weird IYKWIM

Ahh one of my boys names was Azarias Jonah. Never got another boy after Aricyn though - even though we tried!!

Why don't you just use Nate? It is an actual name, doesn't have to be shortened from Nathan?

Out of interest, DS is Bosley, and everyone asks what it means and where it's from (it's old English and means 'grove of trees' but is usually a surname). I love that his name is unusual, but still easy to pronounce and spell - I think! We shorten it to Boz (the shortening part was important to DH and I too!).

Caelan is pretty awesome, so is Liam though its a bit more common now.
Other names we had chosen which are less common were Owen, Callum.

How about Kai, Deisel, Dante, Baiden.

My DS is Quinn. Is Irish/gaelic in origin (both our grandparents are from there, so we chose Irish names for both our kids). It means wise and intelligent!

I found boys names so hard too. When I saw Quinn I loved it though. Our surname starts with a C too.

I have a Nate and I love that name...He's not Nathaniel or Nathan, just Nate. Seems silly to me to name your kids something and then call them something else.

I didn't like the name Jackson but then i saw it spelt Jaxon and it just seemed different don't ask me why but thats DS2's name.

Originally Rhys was going to be called Cale (or spelt Cael) as I wanted 2 short Irish names to match with DD, but DH went off it so have instead opted for a Welsh name instead.

One of my friends called her son Ace...bit out there but suits them.

I also have a dear friend who has named her boys Ochre, Zephyr and Sage. Totally suit her boys!
