Are these names too alike for sisters?

Okay so it's not confirmed yet but we're pretty sure Number 3 is another little girl.

DH and I choose names fairly instinctively, we throw names around until we get the one that "feels" right. This has been quite an interesting method because we have wound up with names that we love but would never have thought that we would have chosen. DH tends to be more picky and conservative than me but we always give each other "right of veto" over the other's suggestions...if we don't both love the name then it's not the name.

So we have chosen our name for our potential DD2 - Chloe. But DD1's name is Sophie.

I am surprised at how much I like Chloe (and Sophie for that matter) - but they just feel perfect.

Do you think Sophie and Chloe sound a bit too....rhyming? Kinda like Ben and Ken, Trista and Krista sort of thing??

No, I don't think they are too similar. They are both beautiful.

Practice saying the names together and apart. See if you get them confused, and that might help you decide.

Not at all! Maybe both slightly 'french' themed but that's nice. I was expecting to see Hayley and Kaylee or something PS - Beautiful names too.

Both beautiful names, but do say them out loud together a few times.

I'm forever tripping over Isabelle and Elizabeth! It might be because the are both longish names.

I think they are great together. My girls are Olivia and Rebecca...kind of similar...ends with "a" and I am Melissa...all unintentional, but all sound good together.

I've said Sophie and Chloe 10 times backwards and forwards and I reckon it will work beautifully!

I think they sound lovely together, really complimentary. I have good friends called chloe and sophie, and they're names usually just get shortened to chlo and soph, which don't sound similar at all
