I love Sienna
I love Sienna
I'd pick Kira over Sienna if you were against Kira for popularity. I know of much more Sienna's...
I also think Kira is nicer and I think 'Kira Mae' is beautiful.
I know quite a few Sienna's and only one Kira (spelt Keira). I love both the names. I would chose Kira. Sounds like you have the last same name as me!
I've also heard of many more Sienna's than Kira's.
Kira is a nice name for a child... but I wonder how it would suit a mature woman?![]()
How about Sierra?
Sort of a mix of Kira & Sienna, but a cute name in its own right![]()
I think Sienna is probably more popular than Kira too.
I like all your names but I think Rylee is my favourite.
[QUOTE=cookiemonster;1794340Bathsheba while you raise a valid point, your name is only what you make of it. If you would judge a woman with the name Kira as young and immature then that is certainly your loss.[/QUOTE]
CM: Given that the OP wasn't keen on the name Kira I thought I could provide an "out" I wasn't passing judgement on the name and certainly didn't say that I would judge a woman with the name Kira as "young and immature"I meant "older" woman when i said "mature". I left it up to her to decide by using the shrugging emoticon. Sorry if you found my comment judgemental... was just my own humble opinion on the name. People given unfavourable opinions on names all the time here in these threads. The names that I have chosen for my own children (mainly my DD) have been commented on as being old fashioned as the kind of name an old lady might have, not a baby
But I took that as just that person's opinion and wasn't offended. You are right, you make what you do from a name. The most unlikely names can end up really suiting a person. For example I read the neame "Rebel" on a class list once when I was a teachers' assistant and thought... "hmmm" but after a few days I discovered the name really worked and actually had a nice ring to it.... likewise the name "Sixteen" (for a little girl)... once again I thought "odd" but once I got to know her it just seemed natural to call her that name. So I guess we agree on that point... perhaps not whether members should ever express a negative opinion on a name though hey?
