Hi. I much prefer Carys, but I also like Georgia?
Did your DH and yourself rule out Georgia?
If you were to have Georgeanna, she may have the nickname George anyway, so you may call Alex and George out the back door! haha. Not 100% sure about pronounciation either.
Goodluck deciding!
Carys is Car (as in carrots) and 'is'. Aeryn is just pronounced the same way as Erin.
Georgeanna is George ahh na with a long ahh sound in the middle. We have ruled out Georgia as sadly is does nto sound any good with our surname with starts with the same G sound and ends in 'er'.
Thanks for the help girls! Just confirming what I already know which is that Carys is the way to go. DH's main concern it seems is that someone else that we know slightly in town (very small town!) named their daughter this last year. They will go to different primary schools and we move in mostly different circles and I don't see it as a problem.. After all my DSs best little friend, and one of the close gf's I met at mother's group with he was born, has the same name and there is never any problem with that. My DS is always Alexander and he goes by Alex.
I still love Carys.
I dont think its a big deal that someone else in your town has the same name. Its not like its your sister or someone close.
Just to throw my two cents in, I'm not sure about the spelling of Aeryn. I think it sounds more like air-rin and it reminds me of the Aryan race. If your little girl is going to have a slightly unusually spelled first name, then I would avoid have a differently spelled middle name. Having grown up with an unusual last name and now an unusual married name, I am all for making things simple for my children.
