Its a beautiful name and I like the spelling. Isabelle has become very popular at tme moment so that is a nice take on it. Grace is lovely as a middle name as well.

Yeah I like it. Different to Isabel or Isabella (which I think there is a lot of Isabellas around, more so than Isabel/Isabol..am I right?)

I have an Isabelle, I would have spelt it that way but I went with the spanish version as my last name is spanish...and also Queen Isabelle of Spain..it all pointed one way!

Yeah..I think Isobel is the scottish version/

Elizabeth is nice too (means the same as Isabel). Though I think it sounds a bit too 'expensive' lol.

Though with a surname like Barbieri....I think Isobel is nicer.

I don't know..I'm so confused!! Baby names are sooooo hard!

Isobel is my Mum's name. I have always preferred this spelling of the name.

Sadly, my Mum has never liked her name. I was hoping that she would start to like it now that it has become popular (again). She told me that when she was a child, adults always used to say to her 'Is a bell necessary on a bike?' That was considered humour in the 40's and 50's! So she became very tired of this and, unfortunately, it affected her opinion of her name. And she hates the nick name Izzy.

BUT, I think it is a lovley name.

Middle names to go with isobel:

    Isobel Jade
    Isobel Hazel
    Isobel Ava
    Isobel Mae
    Isobel Tara
    Isobel Eve
    Isobel Skye
    Isobel Maeve

    or Isobel Milla!

(I think it sounds best with a 1 or 2 syllable middle name).

    Good luck!

I actually had Isobel on my list too. Although we'd probably go with Izobel.

I'm wondering if I should go with Isobel or Milla now LOL. My Mum doesn't like the name Milla...though I shouldn't let that stop me. The only thing that bothers me is that its a bit like Camilla (a bad sheep in our family).

I am sure in time I'll figure out which name is best though. Or pick something different again lol. 15 weeks still to go.

Izobel is different. Never seen it spelt like that before.
