I like Amelie from your list best.....but Amelia is my FAVE name of all time but DH hates it (bah humbug) anyhoo...

We also have Abigail and Tabitha on our list.....

I DID have a dog named Tansy many years ago so I can't shake the pooch link there, but it's still a pretty cool name

Good luck...I'm struggling this time too!

Well I have to choose Amelie (it's DDs name). I love it!

BUT if you are worried about having to spell / tell how it is pronounced all the time, you'll have trouble with this one! Everyone thinks it is Emily first time around if I tell them the name verbally. When it is written, people try to pronounce it Amelia, but get stuck with the 'e', LOL! So, not great for that.

On the other hand it is also getting more popular, which will help with the pronunciation - hopefully by the time DD needs to use it on her own. But this also means the name is not as original as it seemed a couple of years ago! Already met 5 or so Amelie's and she's only 2.

I agree that two A names may be slightly difficult for the reasons Bath mentioned, but hey go with what you like!

I have such similar taste in names to you!

I'm a fan of Amelie and Giselle from your list - the movie has helped with the pronunciation of Amelie, and I think it's super pretty. Even together - Amelie Giselle. I also love Abigail. Two A-names could be tricky, but I once knew a family with 4 boys beginning with R and they managed to work out the mail every time! I think go with what you love

Just a thought, how about Amira (It's arabic and means princess) or Tahlia.

I noticed that on your list in your very first post, you actually wrote Tansy twice. Maybe it's a sign...?

This poor baby is NEVER going to get named! There are some lovely names here! Thanks for all the suggustions!

I think the problem is our surname with it's er ending, which really spoils the sound of a lot of gorgeous names!

DH is a tad conservative and I don't like names that are really popular, so this has narrowed the field a bit. Georgeanna is the current fav (not sure on spelling yet), but is a bit of a mouthful with Alexander!

Wish me luck! I keep thinking that I will know the RIGHT name when it comes along..
