    Smile Help me choose!

I already have a boys name picked out, he will be Oscar William (i'm considering adding James in there but will have to run it by DP)

But i am absolutely stuck on a girls name. I had Scarlett Lea but turns out my sister already has a niece called Scarlett and ive be-friended her mother so that could be awkward!

My DD's name is Kailey Summer. So i would like something that goes with that.

I am torn between two names:

    Reagan/Reigan and Ivy.

I was torn between Kailey and Summer so decided to mash them together for her name but i'm not sure how i like the sound of Reagan Ivy or Ivy Reagan. And i think if i had Ivy as the first name the two names would sound funny together. Kail-ey and Iv-ey.

So thats where i need help! If i am to have Ivy as a first name i want a long-ish middle name and vice versa Reagan with a short middle name.

    Ivy Isabelle
    Ivy Rachael
    Ivy Catherine

I like Ivy better. Reagan reminds me of the president and feels like a boy name to me. With Ivy though, how would you feel about both your babies names ending in 'Y'. I like it, but I know some people avoid that.

I agree! I like Ivy and I don't think it matters that it ends in the same sounds as your DD's name. I think I 3 syllable middle name would sound good with it.

I like Reagan Ivy better, (or atleast Reagan as a first name better than Ivy) Reagan actually reminds me of a chick (off mcloads daughters) before the president...

actually how would you pronounce it? is it rEEgan, or RAEgan? (for me the EE is feminine and AE is male)

being Kailey and Ivy, might work too if you want them to have a simular 'theme' sort of thing, some people like that, but if it bothers you then yea avoid it.

I think Kailey and Ivy sound fine together. We've chosen a girl's name that sort of sounds like DD's.

    I like Reagan Ivy, too.

It would be pronounced REEgan. We heard the name on the first series of idol and we agreed it was a really nice name.

I'm leaning toward Ivy Reagan, the more i say it the more i like it. Now to convince DP i like it. I don't think hes keen on Ivy..

I think Ivy sounds better with Kailey, than Reagan does. I also think of Ronald Reagan when I see 'Reagan'. Most people will probably pronounce it that way, so you might need to change the spelling if you want it pronounced with an 'ee' sound.

I think Skye would be a nice middle name. Kailey Summer and Ivy Skye - how sweet.
Also, the name 'Elvy' is sweet and is similar to Ivy.

I much prefer Ivy. I know heaps of people who use names that sound the same (ending in ER or A etc) and it never sounds weird.

    How about Ivy Scarlett?

go with Scarlett and to your ex friend. She's no relation to you so why does it matter?

    Ivy Rose
    Ivy Jane
    Ivy Claire
    Ivy Michelle
    Ivy Miller (Milla?)
    Ivy Isobel

    Ivy and Scarlett I like.

I don't Like Reegan (probably because we had a nasty girl growing up called Reegan and I think its more a boys name)

When I was 12 my favourite name was Regan. I'm not sure where I heard it. Not long after, a girl moved in next door - called Regan. She's still a good friend 20 years on So I say Reagan/Reigan. I do prefer the Regan spelling though. I think the other spellings would get confused with Ray-gan.

I like Ivy too. It's my Grandma's name.

I think both go well with your DD's name.

I also like the combo Regan Ivy. Not so keen on Ivy Regan.
