I always say Shi-born. Clearly I butcher names all the time
Thanks everyone for your help... I've been fixated on Felix as a name but something has never felt quite 'right' about it. And now I know everyone will pronounce it differently to me I thinkit's out. BUT I really wanted a middle name that means happy and just found out that is the meaning of Felix!! So I think it must be destined to be our son's middle name
Now to find a first name...
My 14yo nephew is Felix and everyone prounouces his name the same " Fee - lix (mostly this one)... or Feel -ix "
(both his parents are secondary school teachers if that helps and most of their friends are too including an English teacher from the UK)
I am laughing so hard reading this thread! It sounds exactly like all of the discussions DH and I have! Especially on the Sio-barn name! Yep, Fee-lix here too.
xox
I say the Fe part like Fi in Fiona.
So Fi-Licks.
