winter - I'm with your DH, ya can't name a kid after a pet!! I had that argument with my ex over both DD1 & DD2 and have even encountered it with future DD3 lol We have a cat called Cleo and hubby wanted to use Chloe but I keep callng the cat chloe accidentally so it really doesn't work for me.

Nicoletta, I really like Ariella Sofia (Sofia is one of my fave names but hubby doesn't like it!). I just keep thinking aereola... that's the only thing putting me off even though I love the name!

If you're going for Italian, I've always loved Chiara. Chiara Sofia would be sweet

    I like Gabriella Sofia too.
    or Amelia Sofia
    or Liliana Sofia

I love Lucia Bella - so pretty

I thought you had it down to a few. lol.
I like Freya and Pania. In my opinion Harper doesn't flow nicely with Sofia like the previous options did. I wish I was Italian... so many pretty names that I would just feel silly using with no Italian heritage at all.
I think Ariella would get boob jokes made at her expense. Kids really aren't very nice.

    I love the name Freya.
I taught a little girl called Freya and she was the loveliest little thing ever, so whenever I hear that name I think of her
