I kind of like the look of Louis better, BUT would prob pronounce Lou ee. Lewis is much more clear and it is also nice. xo

Me too... dilemma! I would also pronounce Louis - Loo-ee, but Lewis as Lewis...

Maybe you could spell it Luis?
    The meaning is Famous Warrior
    The origin is Spanish
    Notes: a form of Louis

That way people will pronounce it as it's written, because it looks a little different to the "original" ways of spelling it?

I would pronounce Luis as lew-eece not Lewis.
I prefer the Louis spelling as well, people will get used to the pronunciation, lots of people pronounce names differently than whats traditional.

I agree. I would pronounce Luis more like Louise than Lewis, if that makes sense...

You can always just tell people how to pronounce his name. My name is candice, but it is pronounced can-dis, not can-dice, or can-dace, or can-darce. My mother simply corrected people when they pronounced it wrong and it didn't take long for people to catch on.

I like Louis. (And would pronounce it Lewis).

The spelling 'Lewis' reminds me of Kate Langbrook who called her son 'Lewis Lewis'. As in first name and second name are both Lewis!! Too much for me!

I would pronounce them both Lu-wis even though the spelling of Louis is traditionally pronounced Lou-ee.

I know people with both spellings and both are pronounced Lu-wis.

I prefer the spelling of Lewis.

When I first saw Louis in your post I immediately thought it would sound like Louis.

I like the spelling of Lewis more... I think "Lewis" looks a little more "modern" if you will rather than Louis.

FWIW... everyone will have an opinion on bubs name regardless!! So go with your faves
