    A middle name for Lily

Oue beautiful baby girl is due at the end of May and we are seriously thinking we will name her Lily, but we can't think of a middle name. Our surname is quite strong, Crank, so we wanted a very feminine first name. Any suggestions for a middle name??

My DD's middle name is Kate, though I'm not sure it would go with your surname. We also considered
    Rose and Anne.

My first thought was Rose!! It sounds beautiful with Lily and even OK with Crank. Kate is beautiful too, thats DD's middle name but LIly Kate Crank isn't quite as good. What about May?

I think you need a longer, feminine middle name to fit with your last name...

    Lily Isabella
    Lily Violet
    Lily Marie
    Lily Josephine
    Lily Madeleine
    Lily Catherine
    Lily Mirabel
    Lily Amelie
    Lily Tallulah
    Lily Capri

Lily Catherine sounds great (amysarah's suggestion) but if you don't want her initials to be LCC then you could spell Katherine.

I just thought of Lily Kate

Hey Joey! I love love love the name Lily! Great choice!

I would say that Lily Grace is lovely as is Lily Catherine or Lily Jospehine.

I'm a bit "thingy" about the name sounding too country... If you put on an american accent and say "lily mae" it just sounds too country (okay, I know I'm sounding crazy here). Lily Rose almost fits into this category too. Too flowery...

I also don't like middle names that sound like it's part of the first name. Hence Lily Anne could be confused with Lilian.

    Anyway, enough rambling from me...

    Lily Sophie
    Lily Allegra (different and beautiful)
Lily Harriet (funky and sounds cool with your last name)
    Lily Scarlet (how cute)
    Lily Eve (short and sweet)
    Lily Paige

I agree it should be a longer middle name - how about

    Lily Seraphine
    Lily Emmeline
    Lily Celeste
    Lily Sapphire
    Lily Maree
    Lily Therese
    Lily Amara
    Lily Sienna
    Lily Savannah

    All the best!

    ETA - LOVE Lily Charlotte!
