    Middle names

Hi all, I posted last month about possible girls names... well seems DH is extremely unmoveable away from EMILY as a first name.

We have our boys name sorted. We already have a little boy called Ashton James.

Anyhoo, i'm not a huge fan of emily mainly because it's so awfully common but am trying to be flexible for my husband... however I have laid claim to sole decision on the middle name (seeing he won't even consider any of my suggestions - not even Emmy ggrrrr).

Dh really likes Emily Grace - but i do suspect grace is very common middle name to go with emily (it is my Great grannies name tho and i've always loved it)

Other possibilities i've come up with are:

EMILY JOY (joy is a family name and i love that it means delight so this is my fave so far)
    EMILY ELIZABETH
    EMILY ALICE

What else sounds good with Emily and may provide a little point of difference for a child. Also our surname starts with O ... so emily grace with be EGO etc

    HELP

thanks in advance for any replies.

Dh wanted to have Emily Jessica, but if you both like Emily Grace dont worry if it's too common.

I know Emily Elizabeth is a character off a kids show if that would put you off? What about a form of Emily, like emiliana?

We are considering Emily for our Hatchlet. Middle names under consideration are:
    Hazel
    Claire
    June
    Paige

From the choices you've put forward though, I like Joy.

DH's are so painful when it comes to choosing names aren't they!! Good luck.

How about Amelie, sounds the same, but spelt very different, Joy is a beautiful choice as a middle name, not too common and has family meaning for you.
