arimeh - nope, no variations. E-M-I-L-Y emily. I love Emmy - nup; Emmylou- definitely nup; Amity - 'what kind of name is that,' he scoffs ggrrrhhh I could just about snot him sometimes... i didn't realise that about the kids character hhmmm DS is only 14 months old so TV isn't really rating for him yet lol

From the choices you've put forward though, I like Joy.

i think Emily Joy is a lovely name, it flows well, and sounds beautiful. and i agree, it is such a joy having a girl, so its well suited. hope you can sway DH a little bit, men are sooooo frustrating when it comes to baby names!!

I know an Emily Rose, you could go longer with something like....Emily Charlotte?

thanks girls. yeah I think Emily Joy is in the lead atm. I love that it means 'delight', which this new baby will be... (boy or girl!).

yeah sarah i love Amity and thought it's a little different and so pretty.
