My SIL is Irish, so the names are unique here but are very common in Ireland.

    Aoife (eefa)
    Aisling (ashling)
    Audrey

My little girl is named Tess Alice, it's not unusual, just don't know anyone who has named a girl Tess. The MW made a comment after the birth that she hadn't heard that name in a very long time.
My GF had a baby the same time and named her Ingrid, another one I haven't heard for quite some time.
If you look on Births, deaths & Marriages website you can go back as far as Birth's have been registered to get some of the older names not used any more.

Heather72 - I love the name Tess! It is on my favourites list

Lady Zaidie - I have a different 'Karen' too - my middle name is Caron - but I think I like Caryn better!

freya - thats exactly what I thought too. She's not that old, so you're right her mum would have had to sign the forms.
I taught a Shayla and an Asha aswell that I thought were pretty and unusual names.

My real life name is Trilby-Roux - I've heard of other Trilbys (Trilbies? Lol) but never met one, and I never expect to meet a Trilby-Roux (It is said TRILbee-Roo)

Hmmm unique names... my cousins have fairly odd names - Vasiliki and Evgenia - but they're Greek so not really unusual... although the boy next door's name was Nectar, which is a bit bizarre even for Greeks.

    A few others I've heard:

    Keadynn (Kee-den)
    Tannith (nickname Tanni, girl)
Teylor (unusual spelling of Taylor, girl)
    Rainer (boy)
    Bodhi (pron. Bodie)
    Qaiss (pron. "case", boy)
Kiki (girl, pron. "kicky", not "key-key")

One of my best friends is Tess, I love her name...

    oh dear

I love the name Aisling, so pretty. My grandmother's names are Audrey and Tess if we ever have a girl I'd love to incorporate them both in there somewhere.

I once tutored a Maela and a Jale (Ja-lay), they were such sweet little girls and with gorgeous names to boot!

I once taught a D'Weazel!! And his twin brother was called D'Razcal!! Right here in Perth, of recent years too. I almost died! Behind every lovely child is a parent..... Each to their own, but that is cruel isn't it?
SAJEK, ATM I like Logan, Xambri, Indra (all names suggested on BB :/) and have always liked Makeira Pearl for our next DD (?), BUT I heard another name of a movie and thought it was awesome......Apollo (Sun god).
I once knew a girl named Staum.
Hope you catch that special name soon!
