    Name help and suggestions please

I never thought we would have to post here as I never thought we would have trouble with names. We are due to have our second baby in July and have our boy name picked out but we are struggling with a girls name.
we have a little girl already and her name is Georgia. We want to use my dh's late mothers name as a middle name which is Robyn.

We were all set to use the name Emily but when we say it out loud with our last name it sounds bad, our last name starts with K and rhymes with Kia, so when you say the name outloud it sounds like Emma Lick Here. Do you think that people will pick up on this, I dont want her to get picked on at school. Does that make sense.

So our name ideas so far have been:

Emma Robyn (not sold but still love the name)
    Emily Robyn
Layla Robyn(I love this but DH is undecided)

Could you also suggest some names that are soft and pretty not too out there that will go with Robyn, I have been through baby name books and websites but nothing stands out.

Fingers crossed...... oh and please be very very honest and dont be scared to suggest names

Both my girls names are french and from the 1800's. Maybe type your dd's name in google and find what era its from and see what other names are from that same era?

Can I ask what your boy name is? Im just curious

hahaha you probably will.. which makes this all pretty pointless and I might just steal Layla from you if you dont use it j/k.. i dont think DF would be too keen on the name either.... he would come up with some stupid reason why he didnt like it (usually because it reminds him of something... most of the time, an object haha)

With you on Emily. No go. Would Emmeline work better? If it's good for J-Lo....

Would he go for Lyla or Leila over Layla? My bike is called Laila, the name conjures up images of freedom and flying in the breeze for me. (not the actual meaning, just my personal association) I love it.

hey remember Aussie actress Totti Goldsmith (well don't hear of her these days) ... she is the niece of Olivia Newton-John, anyway Totti has a DD named Layla Rose which i always thought was so pretty and it made me think Layla Robyn truly goes together

(P.S i met Totti years ago, she was a genuinely really lovely & kind person ... and i remember her DD had the most gorgoeus curls)

Audax: not sure about Emmaline, reminds me too much of madeline and its not a favourite name of mine. Thanks for the suggestion though thats what I was after.
The spelling of Layla is not an issue, I dont even think the whole name Layla is a issue with DH as he loves Layla Mckinnon (sp?) on tv but everytime I ask him he never really gives me a answer so we dont get any further along.

Must bail him up in the car or something i think.

    Thanks Smiles4U

You should leave the baby name book in the toilet. Only way i can get DF to read it is when hes in there for like 30 mins and he always takes reading material, so i used to send him with the book lol.

Mckinnon would actually be a nice name for either a boy or a girl. Wouldnt go with my last name very well though, but its different. Thats a good one for you to use MummaMia
