My DH has the same rules. And your rule as wellIt makes it nearly impossible to choose a name that he'll like. For this one, we narrowed it down to
Emily
Erin
Isla
Amy
Claire
All fairly common but with one "usual" spelling. I have met people with these names in the past (except Isla but that's a famous person so it fits the same category) and DH has as well but he was finally able to get over it. We had the same problem picking boys names too.
Good luck.
So have you made a decision? I have been watching this thread with interest!
I like (easy ones...)
Emma
Lauren
Veronica
Jade
Penny
Holly
Brooke
Liza
Charlotte
Jessica

last night he sugested the one i like most out of them, Alyssa, but then said it sounds to much like melissa (his sister)
im now not to keen on the other 3 we had![]()
absolutly hopeless i know!!
Oh we also have to find a middle name once the first is settledi thought i had that sorted with the female version of his dads middle name, but thats not good enough! (ds1's middle name is my dads middle name)
yeh i have to agree with him (so sorry) but Alyssa does sound close to Melissa !
What about Elise ? (kind of a different version to Alyssa but not as close to Melissa)
I prefer the spelling of Krystal with a ' K ' too.
How about....
