I don't think it really matters. I did think "Chamberlain" straight away, but my son is named after McDonalds and HJ burger which I'm sure will not be so big when he grows up. I think most people connect names with other people they know, so what can you do. Also, the boys name we really like at the moment - there is a 3D movie with the same name..

Would that name be junior? I'm racking my brain going thru all the burgers...lol.... I like Azariah but I did think of that poor bubba straight away. Again I think that will always pop into the heads of people who remember the tragedy but who cares and by the time she is old enough to know the story it won't be any different to naming their child Aaliyah, Diana or whitney etc ... Just pulling out some names of famous people who have died!

Very pretty name. I automatically made the Chamberlain connection but I don't think it's a big deal or should stop you from using it.

Personally not a fan of Zariah though.

Lol, the only one I could think of that both mcd's and hj's sell was 'cheeseburger' and I was thinking 'please, no'.

Lol - that's it. I didn't make the connection until my SD called him The Mighty Angus Baby! Oh well, they won't be around forever...

Just to make things more awkward....

Azaria Chamberlain's birthday... is my due date. August 17th.
That might make it a tad weird - imo if you were to tell people that. Personally I wouldn't use it, but I do think it's quite a nice name.

I like it, it's a very pretty name.

I thought of the Chamberlain's immediately too, wouldn't stop me using it though.

Not much of a fan of Zaria.

I think it's a beautiful name. I instantly make the connection to the chamberlains but I don't think that's a reason not to use it. She was a beautiful baby from a beautiful family.

The due date/birthday date connection on top is a bit weird though TBH. It's a bit obsessive/stalkerish, as though you want your child's life to follow in the footsteps of the first Azaria. I know you don't of course, it just comes across as odd and if your baby IS born the same day I personally wouldn't be able to use it.

The chances that your baby will arrive on her EDD are very slim (about 5%) so they probably won't share a birthday.

Uuummmm, isnt the 17th August the day she was killed?

I remember it because it is my dad's birthday and I remember the news and everyone being shocked.

Eta: yep. She was born in June.

As soon as I read the name I thought 'a dingo stole my baby' that aside I actually really love the name, but I did immediately make the connection
