    ok... how about

    .....

    Azariah.

I just love it. I don't mind about the famous connection. It is a great sounding name. DH likes Zariah for a middle name. Be honest we know the connection will not sit well with some. Do you like it?

I think by the time your baby is grown up that there will be no connections to make anymore. I doubt that the story will be one that is remembered after the generation when it occured is no longer around. I think it is very pretty and I would use it.

It doesn't bother me, I think its quite nice, but yeah I think I would do my head in with other people bringing 'THAT' issue up, but Kazzo has a good point too - time will do it good I think. Depends how much that bothers you! I'm seriously stuck with names too. We've found it hard to get time to sit down and go through the book for a decent amount of time! Hope you find a name soon - Zariah is pretty and unique too

Nope. I am old enough to really remember the connection.

I reckon you'd say, 'my DD's name is Azaria' and people would immediately say/think, ' what? Like Chamberlain?'

I would not use Jayden for the same reason.

    Don't like it either.

    Woot!

    We have 4 combo's...

    Azariah
    Azarias

    Zaria
    Zarias

I think the "ah" ending is much more feminine.

That's what my parents think too. What is the Jayden connection???

I tend to agree with N2L, but maybe that's because I'm a bit older and was very aware of the Chamberlain case.

    Jayden Leskie.
    Ahh OK!

I think the difference is there is really only one famous Azariah. But because there are so many Jayden's floating around, the strength of connection is not as strong to Jayden Leskie. IMHO anyway .

Azariah is way more linked than Jayden because its a less common name. I wouldn't be able to use Ebony (Simpson), but its well used now.

Azariah is still very uncommon & probably because its recently all been in the news all over again.

With Zariah, would you say it Zah-ri-ah or Za-ry-ah (like Mariah)

    I love the name Azariah
I think the first reaction a lot of people will still have is to make the Chamberlain connection. But like most names, once you meet the baby you realise that it suits them, and can't imagine it any other way.
Dingoes will soon be forgotten, and a sweet little girl will replace it

I've always loved the name Azariah, I think it is beautiful.

no idea who you are talking about when you say Jayden, even after you said the last name... does that show my lack of age?

I don't mind the name but when I hear it I automatically think .... Chamberlain.

It might be other people's initial reactions too but soon they won't think any differently I'm sure.
TBH I think it comes back to the old "if you like it, use it"
