Georgia is pretty popular though. Have you looked up the meanings? Miranda - worthy of admiration; Lucinda - light/giver of light; Eleanor - shining light; Georgia - farmer.
Miranda and Lucinda are my especial favourites, but are you okay if these get shortened (ie Lucy)? Miranda was on my list for Lucy! Yoy like a lot of the girls names I like.
PS I know little girls named Georgia, Adelaide, Eleanor, Lucinda/Lucy (more than just mine too!) and Violet. These days, you could pick a name that isn't "common" but because it's traditional you might come across other little girls with the same name anyway!
Eleanor is my fave girls name that I don't already have, but can't ever use is as its my cousin's name! It is so beautiful and feminine!
Violet is pretty and I do love April, but agree its a little weird if she's born in April (although I have heard of Mae born in May, that too is a pretty name!)
Zoe is pretty too.
I think their are soooooooooooooooo many Georgia's around these days, its pretty but if you're looking for something not too popular then I definately would not go with this one.
Awww... thanks so much everyone for all your helpful replies (I feel all spesh).
Hmmm.... I didn’t realise some of these names are already really popular. Oh well...
And I am surprised at how many of you like April and Adelaide. Maybe they are about to be in the next wave of popular names.
Thanks so much for all of your excellent suggestions too. I’ve got heaps more now to take to DH.
Rory – You know, I was thinking of Aurora but didn’t put it on the list, it was just one in the back of my mind, so I ran it by DH and he immediately vetoed. But it’s OK because one veto is not enough, I reckon he has to veto three times before I’d consider it totally off the list, so I’ll pick my next suggestion moment carefully.
MadB – Thanks for Eleni. It’s not all that long now till we see if we even actually need this list.
From your list, I think Eleanor goes the best with Angus & Harriet
I do love Lucinda, too
Georgia is super popular - when I was teaching, I taught up to 5 Georgia's at once, and I know of 3 others (friends kids and my niece) - although they are all spelt 'Jorja'.
Maaaaaaybe you won't need this list and little Basil will arrive instead
