    Question Spelling???

weve finally agreed on the name Hudson(hudsyn) Lee

DH wanted hunter but i won lol

problem now is spelling which DH has left to me to decide but im stuck

i prefer Hudsyn i think it looks nicer and softer but im torn because Hudson would more likely suit a teenager/adult but Hudsyn looks better for a baby/child

    ???? what do you think

I prefer Hudson. It looks strange spelt the other way.
I do love the name though.

I'd probably stick with the traditional spelling, which says a lot cos I changed ds's name (aricin to Aricyn even though aricin is the traditional Scandinavian spelling) and I changed dd1's middle name from Addison to addisyn. So normally I am a fan of the y

However - your other kids have different spellings so perhaps the less traditional spelling would fit in more?

I am with the others. The poor kid will spend half his life having his name spelt incorrectly and the other half telling people how to spell it.

Babe you dont need to justify your choices to anyone, they are your choices and people need to respect them..
And as for dissing childrens names? that is just immature and so uncalled for.
They are gorgeous names no matter what the spelling is.. Smile babe you are very much loved

i want so say hudsin when i see it with a y. but thats not necessarily a bad thing, dd has the middle name Ayva, we used the y cause other wise DH wouldnt use the name as he said it looked like ' ave a ' like 'ave a good weekend' but with the y it changed the way you say it. iykwim.

I prefer Hudson, it looks like a very strong and nice name. Hudsyn IMO looks really weird, and I'd also pronounce it hud-SIN if I saw it spelt like that.

I think the y makes it look girly. If you want to be different, so it fits in with your other kids' names, I second Keike's suggestion of Hudsen.
I was going to say the same thing! I think 'y' girlifies a name.

I likE the name Hudson! Not with the Y, though. I agree that it may look a bit girly!

Fwiw - I honestly didn't see Jhett as spelt incorrectly (just like Rhett, with a J) and like the 'h' with Dakotah
