Starting or Ending with WYN or WIN

Help! I thought I had the name thing sussed, but I just can't do it to her...

DH & I love Winter as a name, but with the popularity of Summer at the moment, I'm sure there will be a Summer in her class, and I can imagine the teasing...what if they became best friends? Summer & Winter BFF

    So...this is what I need...I

have been talking to her for the last 4 months and calling her Win so now I need some names that I can shorten to Win or Wyn but if she wants to grow up to be a high court judge, a doctor, a hairdresser, a police officer or a beach-bum - she has a name that suits all occasions!

This is your mission should you choose to accept it!

The only other name similar that has come to mind is Whitney. Theat could be shortened to Winny I suppose.

To be honest, if you love Winter, then call bub Winter. Honestly. There are Autumns too. And Junes and Mays and Rivers and Willows and Forrests who are very happy people...

And then Johns, Daniels and Matthews who are teased at school.

I think Winter's a beautiful name, so I'd be reluctant to steer clear of that just in case she is teased, when she could get teased if she's an Isabella or Summer or Jane anyway. To be honest, I'd think it was cool if I was winter and my bestie was Summer. My bestie is my name spelled backwards and we think that's pretty darned cool.

Anyway. Off the top of my head:
    Winona
    Bronwyn
    Guinivere
    Winsome
    Windy
    Arwyn

    I think Winona sounds gorgeous!

But I agree with Nelle, if you love Winter then use it then she can use Win or Winnie.

    Winslow
    Winta (African for desire)

    Just Wyn would work, IMO.
But I agree, go for Winter if it is what you really like!

    Talking

Raewyn is an actual name (not made up, in case you might have been wondering )

Rae was after my cousins Uncle Ray ... and Wyn was after her Greatgrandmother

I too like everyone else say YOU both should stick with WINTER ... if that's the name you like & love in your hearts
