    Tillie is so sweet. I had a little girl in my class last year called Matilda and she was called Tillie for short. I loved it!

    My daughter is Tilly (short for Matilda) and she's never had silly tilly at school and is in year 5. They really don't pick on names at school, other things yes, but I've not heard of anyone being teased about their name! Guess it can happen to anyone though!!

    I agree with everyone else, kids don't really tease each other about names these days (I am a teacher) I love Tilly short for Matilda, I think its nice sometimes to have a "proper name" as well as a nickname IYKWIM?

    I think its sweet, but I would spell it with one letter 'l' to disassociate it even more with the word silly;

    Tily - this also looks more like the name Lily- a well recognised name.

    Another name I like is Tali/Talie/Tahlie
