Twin girl names

Hey name crazy crew.

My DD1 has just been given some twin dolls. They're girls, she tells me. I'm not terribly happy about their existence, as we already have loads of dolls, and really didn't need more. But her grandmother wanted to buy her something special, so she bought two more identical to one she already has. Cool. Anyway, I need to have a little bit of fun with this. So we need some cool twin girl names. Here's our thoughts so far:

Mary Kate and Ashley, hubby's fave.
Erica and Heather, like the twins in Degrassi.
Terri and Sherri, like the twins in the Simpsons.
Tegan and Sara, my fave

Any other ideas, suggestions?

My DD has twin dolls, one in blue and one in pink. They're Jack and Jill.

Why don't you wait until The Royal Birth and give them two of that baby's names (rumoured to be a girl)? She's bound to have half a dozen.

At first glance, I thought you were naming real babies, and saw Mary Kate and Ashley and thought "please, no!" But for dollies, you can have lots of fun.

Polly and Dolly? (my doll when I was little was named Polly the Dolly.) By the way, if these new ones match one she has already, are these going to be triplets? Like, Polly, Dolly, and Molly?

Is your DD going to let you have a say? My girls are very particular about their dolls names, and I don't have much to say about it! They often make something up. Merida Lalooda Champient was around for a while. Currently DD4 is talking about her "friend" (sometimes she's her teacher, too) named Marthy.

We actually do already have a Molly. I packed her away one day when I decided we had too many dolls. We started with one, Barb. She was one of twins at an op shop and i split up the family (dont get me started on the guilt i feel for having done so) DD1 got very attached to Barb. I assume it was because of Barb's abandonment issues, or her sadness over the loss of her brother, Bob. We went back to the op shop to get Bob, but he was already gone.
Anyway, DD was very attached to Barb, and I was a bit worried we'd lose her. So started the search for another. My MIL found Molly (affectionately nicknamed Moll) in an op shop. Then two more similar. Then another. Then or DDs 2nd birthday she got a doll that she named T-Pain. Like the rapper. She chose it out of a book.

TLR Yes, we have lots of say in what the babies are called. Requires mild deceit, but I'm okay with that, for the sake of laughs.

And no to Royal Baby name stealing! I'm quietly hoping that my DD's name gets a look-in. Or mine.

Some of those are brutal! I have enough trouble keeping my kids' names straight, and they're very different! Could you imagine being frustrated and tired and trying to call Kayla and Kylie or keep them straight? Or Jada and Jade? Mia and Mya? And Chloe and Zoe just hurts me. Why?!

I agree Cricket. I actually know of someone who has twins M ikayla & M akenzie. I love both names but together not so much. My mum told me someone she knew names their twins Tia & Leah. I don't know how they keep them straight. I mix my two up all the time & they are completely different I bet they weren't thinking of baby brain when they picked the names.

luna moth, are you a block fan? There's been a couple of twins on there - Alisa & Lysandra, Emily & Laura.

I know a Sofia and Olivia who are twins. Suits them perfectly and not at all confusing

We called them Erica and Heather. For a brief time Erica's name was changed to Meena, but they'll always be Erica and Heather, deep down.
