I also think it's known as PMS today not PMT
I wouldn't do it - middle names aren't commonly used but at school kids do find out these things and the initials will be there at high school when these things are likely to be discussed, the initials do have negative connotations especially for a girl and full names are often used on certificates like degrees (where this will be for the rest of her life). Most professional women I know don't change their name (even if they do get married) especially if they have used their birth name to build their career. The initials PMS are more commonly used now but then people still know that VD is old term for STD so it does take a long time for old nomenclature to go out of public consciousness. I think you can find a name that you like without the issue of the initials - But that's just my opinion.
Thanks for all the different opinions girls, I think we’ll steer clear of M as a middle initial – majority rules!
Tegam – both hubby and I had a big laugh at that – what a fantastic pick up line!! He’s going to be a very popular boy
NaeNae – Another good point, I do want to stay away from word sounding initials too! A last name starting with T is pretty hard!
Mylitta – Thankyou for sharing that, that hits home because I do believe that being positive about your name would create positivity around your life. PMT is definitely not a positive thing lol!
Nai – Hit the nail on the headit’s school teasing that I’m worried about the most and yes it is more commonly referred to as PMS, PMT is still known of and kids will pick on anything.
Any more suggestions for names welcome!! Hubby loves Phoebe Lillian & I like Phoebe Belle or Phoebe Charlotte. We just can’t agree so the more option we have the better!![]()
Why don't you go with Phoebe yvette so she could be a PYT (pretty young thing) and Thomas could pick her up singing the Michael Jackson song saying that she looks like she needs some TLC. Sorry, getting way ahead of myself there![]()
this bub will have the initials EBM... but hey that's what we decided on and i doubt kids care about expressed breast milk enough to know the acronym haha. I say if you like it go for it but if it worries you maybe add another middle name? Good luck in naming your princess![]()
My advice to anyone: Forget the rules and name your child whatever you think 'feels' right. If people pull you up (judgementally), ridicules or just says something negative.....they're just wasting your time with nit-picking. Beautiful name for what is sure to be a beautiful baby
xx
Im big on initials but hubby isnt fussed. Mine are now EAR since getting married lol.
We have to be careful with names for a girl (we dont know what we are having) as the chosen middle name is Anne and last name starts with R. So no names that make the initials spell something lol.
