Just searched for Mix on some name sites...

    Nameberry had Miximino. Uber-cool!

Thinkbabynames didn't have it and suggested Dix. There's some teasing waiting to happen

I like it, I don't love it, but like it. and no I wouldn't tease someone with the name Mix.

Unfortunately I think teasing is often more about picking on a weak link rather than a particular name... I know kids with very common names who are picked on and kids with unusual names who are not. The reverse is obviously also true.
    yeah, that.

To answer your question, no, I would not tease a kid called Mix.

And while I definately do remember getting teased about their names, just as many got teased with normal names (even if other, more popular kids had exactly the same names!!) as kids with unusual names.

And surnames copped more of a beating!!

But it's not as if some kid was picked on just because of their name - if the kids hadn't been able to think up something to do with the name, it would have been teasing based on another attribute/event/whatever.

I think it had little to do with the name.

That all being said, as I said earlier, I think teasing could well occur.

So little Mix will just have to be uber cool, and be the mix-master

NB: kids aren't always all that original ... I'm sure Mix or you and your DP or some of us here could think up some pretty witty retorts if needed "Oi, that's SIR mix-a-lot to you ..."

I too like the sound of it yeah sadly he would more than likely get teased.
