I have always seen it (spelt differently) as a boys name. I am sitting here saying it over and over and just says boy to me.
Chaise? For a girl with that spelling? Honesty appreciated I won't be offended![]()

We actually had it on the list for a boy early on but decided on Jett instead. I was hoping the spelling change might make it more feminine lol
Honestly it sounds like a boys name to me too, no matter how you spell it, sorry hun! I do love Jett......How about Chance??? Is that a name?? lol I do like the sound of it

I know a little girl called Chaise and spelt like that too, I think it's cute but written down it does also make me think of a lounge suite attachment.. Maybe just spell it Chase?? I don't think it's a boy or girl name specifically, it suits both and at least people will know how to spell it?
The spelling does make it look more feminine however, I still say it out aloud and I think of a boy too.
To me Chase is a boys name and I really dislike people changing spellings (I know someone with a boy named Chayse, although there is family significance behind the Y).
Chase was on our list for Ds1........................and then we ended up calling him Jettlol

I agree, boys name.
I'm another who thinks of chair. And then gets confused as to how to say it - chase as in chase the cat round the house? Or shay? Which I think is the correct French pronuciation???
Another of the chair mob here - sorry!!!
Chair.
Sorry.

I love it as a name but probably more so for a boy![]()
I love the name for a boy and I personally don't feel its a "gender neutral" name but thats just me. When I saw the spelling I immediately thought Chassis (as in car) :0
Miss.B - I went to school with a Chance, he was a real spunk ;-)
I actually quite like it - I can totally imagine a gorgeous little girl running around. But I would spell it Chace because otherwise she is going to spend the rest of her life either spelling out her name, or having it spelt wrong. I'm also thinking that people may think her name is 'Trace'. Or you may have to explain that she is a girl when she is a baby - especially if she is like my bubba Milla who has no hair and people assume she is a boy called "Miller".
But I do like the name![]()
I like it too. It depends how you pronounce it as to how femenine it sounds. Eg, I would have said it 'sh-ace'. Sounds girly to me!
