I actually quite like it - I can totally imagine a gorgeous little girl running around. But I would spell it Chace because otherwise she is going to spend the rest of her life either spelling out her name, or having it spelt wrong. I'm also thinking that people may think her name is 'Trace'. Or you may have to explain that she is a girl when she is a baby - especially if she is like my bubba Milla who has no hair and people assume she is a boy called "Miller".
Hmm, well TBH I didn't even think of chaise the chair!! Crap! I was thinking more of if it's a boys or girls name..
OceanPrincess - As for chase the cat, I'm sure bub will be doing that Lol
Freya - Looks like we have good taste in boys names I love Jett. I generally don't like to change spellings either but Chase just doesn't seem 'girly' enough..
Miss B - Chance is a boys name, and with my Aussie accent it sounds a bit boganish IMO lol..
MrsCricket and Forshelby - I imagine my lil girl with blonde hair and just gorgeous
Well, I'm still not put off Chaise entirely, it's not like we have a list to choose from! Chayse?? Hmm, I have some more thinking to do! Lucky I still have a while. I have a feeling if it's a girl she'll end up DF's choice if we keep going the way we are lol!.. I need to come up with something that we both love before then!!
Ummm. I think it of less as a chair and more of a day bed. So I could imagine the remarks from the blokes later on wrt getting laid etc. I wouldnt use it, personally
I've found that choosing a name is often about how it sounds. Eg, with DS2, I liked the name Reuben for a while, DH didnt. It wasnt until a while after he was born that I realised Jude had a similar sound. Maybe you like the 'ch' or 'sh' or 'ace' or 'aze' sounds.
