No you arnt bieng unresonable at all when I was having my 1st DD I didnt find out the sex but ran the name past my family as it was my sisters that died my Nana then started calling her that even though we didnt know she was a girl it was upsetting
We have a similar situation here. We don't know if baby is a boy or girl, but my mum is adamant that it's a girl and calls it "her" or "she" and comes up with some terrible names and calls it that. She rang me 2 days ago and referred to it as a girl. When I got off the phone to her, I almost rang DH in tears. I'm just so over it. I've told her to stop doing it, and honestly, when she does it when I'm with her, the look on my face when she says something like that really should deter anyone. Even my MIL has said something!
I'd really like a girl, but I can imagine the bragging. Even more so if it's a girl, born on my mums birthday.
I feel your pain. Can you put her straight? (your friend, not my mum ) Maybe thank her for using her name, but not to do it in a public arena as you'd still like to make the announcement yourself, and want everyone to be pleasantly surprised?
after a restless sleep last night thanks to the lightning, im wondering if it botheres me cause lately she has been bothering me, cause it is only her that does it
i need to get over it i know
It might be a sign of affection from your friend that she mentions your bubba's name, it might even be that this is exciting for her. I think if she was a good friend the last thing she would want to do is cause you any concerns or stress especially when you are pregnant. It might even be a nice sign of respect for you. So there you go three 'maybe' good reasons why she is using bubba's name already !!
