DS1 is Lindsay Owen - no reason cause we didn't want to burden a first born son with a family name.

DD1 is Erin Kathleen - Erin we just liked and Kathleen is my mums name

DD2 is Paige Annette - Again Paige was just a name we both agreed on and Annette is DH's mum's name

DS2 is Alister Douglas - Alister was a name I wanted from the moment I fell pg and originally wanted Alister Luke, but DH hated Luke and wasn't keen on Alister either so I put the ball in his court and said unless he thought of something better, then Alister it was. He came round and decided he wanted Lachlan for a middle name (his middle name too) but when he was born he decided he wanted Douglas as a middle name, which is his first name. So Alister Douglas it was.

    As per my signature

My DH is Polish so we like names that can be spelt and pronounced in both languages.

Sara Ellyse - The only modern Polish name I liked at the time. It means princess...boy she is a princess!! Ellyse came from me playing around with the name Alicija.

Loren Maja - I knew i wanted this name at conception although I considered Maja towards the end of my pregnancy. When she was born I just knew she was a Loren.

Next bub - So far I have Eva Terese or Miah Rose for a girl and Tomasz Robert for a boy.

DS1 - Nixon Milton . Dh came up with the name Nixon and Milton is my dads and my late pops name.
Nixon = Nic's son and i am Nic. upon further investigation Nixon is derived from Nicholas and Nicole & Nicolas have the same name meaning there for Nixon & Nicole mean the same! (victory of the people)
By giving him the middle name Milton my side of the fam got a peak in and we both share the same initals NMP

DS2 - Tyron James . I came up with this name, after Nixon having my initials we wanted this bub to have dh's initals. I found the name Tyrone but liked Tyron (pronounced TY-RON) better. James is dh middle name aswell as my dads middle name.

so Ty & dh both have TJP initials, then mummy & Nixon are NMP

    DD is Anika Bridget

    DS is Jeremy Oran

My husband has a swedish heritage, so I looked at swedish names while pregnant wih DD. I saw 'Annika', but played around with pronounciation, and preferred 'Anika'. We considered family names for a middle name but I was worried that someone may have felt left out, so we came up with a middle name that we liked and that flowed well with DD first name.

We called DS Jeremy, because we love the name Jem. I wanted him to have the option of "Jeremy' in case he ever thought that 'Jem' was too childish or feminine. He gets called Jem most of the time, and at 2 years old, it really suits him! We loved the name Oran and considered it for his first name. We didn't use a family name because we hadn't the first time around. Did consider 'james' for a middle name (my FIL name, my Dad's middle name and my DH middle name) but I didn't like the sound of Jeremy James. Since then, James has been used by my BIL for his son, so we won't ever be using it.

I am considering Scottish and Irish names (my heritage) for our third bub. And since we haven't named the other two after anyone, it is unlikely that we will do it this time.

Our baby's name is Elizabeth Honor, which was the Bear's grandmother's name. Everyone called her (ie. his grandmother) 'Honor' and we agreed from the start that we would use that for a middle name but we couldn't agree on the first name to go with it. We weren't going to use Elizabeth as a first name until we thought of shortening it to Beth (obviously she can choose a different nick when she's older if she likes) and we both liked it so after that we agreed to use the whole name.

My 2.5year old daughter's name is CENDRINE - an old French name meaning 'Cinders' (also from Cinderella, though i didn't choose for it's meaning).

I came across the name 10yrs before i had our daughter. It was the name of a Melb based photographer's wife (she was a model at the time).

I told the midwife that delivered her that i thought the name Cendrine sounded like "Send Me A Dream" .. she said she will always carry that beautiful thought with her

Cendrine's middle names are ELISE (after my younger sister) ... and ARIANE which DP chose which was almost her 1st name (DP's name starts with "A")!!

Alexzander David Paul - The spelling of his first name is the original medieval spelling & it's just a name we both liked. David is from my dad & Paul is from DH's dad, a tradition in my family.

Juliette Catherine - Again just because we liked the first name. Catherine is DH's Great Grabdmother's name, we had no idea for a middle name & when FIL suggested it we decided it was perfect.

    Aaron picked both names too

This has been an interesting read..

DS - Aiden James.. not sure why Aiden, just DH liked it. I never did, was worried it would get shortened to Aids.. but, went with it. Our mine criteria at this stage was that it had to be a 2 or more syllabel name that couldnt be shortened easily, as we have a one syllabel surname. Middle name James was easier.. DH's middle name, FIL middle name, and my dads middle name. Done the family thing in one hit.

Then, one day, i was at medicare.. and noticed the nice neat formation on my medicare card. DH & I both have 6 letters in our name, middle name starts with J, so, that started the whole criteria thing happening for me. Kids names had to be 5 letters, 2 syllabels, and middle names had to start with J.

When we fell pregnant with #2, for a girl, it was to be Tayah Jane - which was also picked if DS1 was a girl. Tayah, cause we liked it, and Jane is my middle name.

But, its a boy.. so Lewis John. Lewis.. my DH wanted Louie, but, i said, no.. and John is my pa's name, and my brothers name.
