The ones being drooled over are ones I no longer own. I have a bamboo denim one now with sv- I think it was the prototype? It's awesome
Which BB do you have MNB?

Ahh LOL
I'm lucky enough to have a BB MT as well as a 1/2 buckle, there is a dibs list a mile long but it would have to pried from my cold dead hands - I would LOVE one with SV!
oooh nice, I've not tried a BB MT. Had a few half buckles though...
I must sound like a real carrier whore.. LOL
Hiya
Just saying hi. I'm a bit of an ergo lover. Tried bjorn, DD didn't like it. She loves ergo apart from
The fact that she can't face forward. Is there something similar out there that would allow her to face forward?
I'm like you cranky kitten. Dd in ergo, bag of stuff on pram. Doh!
Where did u get the Extras from? Can u let me know if the backpack's worth it? Thanks!

Veus, one of the Beco carriers has a forward facing option.. i can never emember which one it is though.
How else are you meant to get the shopping done?
I got the backpack and pads from Gear 4 Baby (website). Not bad price either really, the two were under $90. Will have to let you know how it goes once it gets here
Depending on how old your DD is, have you tried a back carry? Though DS solves the can't face forward problem by hanging his arm out the side and turning around as far as he can.
Pretty sure it's the Beco Gemini that faces forward.
Otherwise the Butterfly also has an insert part so it is supposed to be much easier to get bub on back.
I have a half buckle and i really struggle to do back carries, i think it's my boobs that are the problem though.
The chest strap ends up being too high and uncomfortable on the Ergo and the MT straps on the BB just I dunno, not too comfy.
I had no hope with a wrap, couldn't get the seat right, y'know, the integral part of safety?![]()
Im really liking my RS but wish there was someone i could have come help me out.
I am guessing it will get easier to adjust the rails as the wrap wears in.
MNB - I'm after a Storch Leo, what size is yours? If you're still destashing, that is. I haven't had any joy on FB BWBSS yet. I'm considering an Oscha Irish Linen as well, which looks divine. I'm after a shorter wrap, I now have two size 6s and a size 5 I'm borrowing.
Welcome to the newbies!
I'm quite proud of my little stash. I have my old HAB and an Ergo Sport. Plus a ring sling on loan from Christy, a Breeze Baby ring sling, another ring sling on its way (Rockin' Baby, very pretty), I'm borrowing a Girasol size 5, have a loooovely Paisley Liberty size 6 and a Zara Mild size 6 arriving tomorrow. It's a start.
The wraps are my favourite, I can so see how I need a few more. Now I've mastered the double hammock back carry (thanks to Epacris) I have a use for a slightly shorter wrap than my 6s (which I like best for front carries - they give me heaps of length to bring around and tie at the front. I was after a short wrap to use in place of the ring slings too.
I need to be convinced on the need for a WC. I love wrapping so much I'm not sure where it would improve my life!
this internet shopping thing is KILLING the credit cards.. GREAT! another site to visit. :-)
DD is 5 mo... don't think she's quite ready for the back just yet... but thank you all for the Beco recommendatino. Must look at that. (oh wait! Another thing to buy!)
my mum's tried to teach me how she carried us.. she basically has a piece of material.. about 2 metres long.. strap it up.. bub sits on the hip.. wah la! couldn't do it when DD was small.. felt like she was slipping through.. gonna try Mum's method again.. i think it's a primitive version of the ring sling.. with no ring..![]()
See Jennifer13 I think wrappers don't "need" the love for WC because the wrap...
Those of us that are too looney to wrap on the other hand....
Epacris will have a delightful Obi WC for you to try soon anyway :P
I want to come to Sydney haha.
I've seen Epacris's plans. It will be lovely! I'll have to give it a go then and see what I think. Always time for a BW get together in Sydney, dragoncookie!
Mmm oscha Irish linin is sooo gorgeous, one of the Adelaide girls has one and you just want to pat it!
Vesus my mum used to do that too, i think now is known as a rebozo hip carry or something...
Unless it's an amazing wc it always makes me wince, i have no idea how people can chop wraps!

Wrappers Delight!Jennifero, I have a size 4 I'm thinking of shifting, interested?
I am hardly doing any babywearing now. My baby is finally into independent play, so we don't need it round the house. And I find sun protection easier when we're out if I put her in the pram.I'll just have to have another baby

PMed you, Audax.
You should have seen the impressed looks at my postnatal exercise class today when I (bravely - first time in public!) wrapped DD2 on my back with a double hammock. (Epacris told me it would change my life and she's right, i can get so much more done). They were all especially impressed when she immediately fell asleep. The physio raved about how good that carry was for my back. And when we all had lunch I was hands free and uninterrupted.
One of the helper ladies, an older South African, said all the African nannies carry their babies on their backs and that's what they did with her children when they were young.
One of the Mums wanted to know how to do it and where to get a wrap. They're mostly on baby no 2 or 3 so I'm guessing the hands free is appealing.
[going out of topic a bit]. Can we create a sticky with the baby wearing acronyms? or is there one already?
Im very new to this mothering thing & baby wearing. So I get a bit lost with the acronyms. Hehe. Thanks!![]()
You sure did! Wish I could reply!Empty your inbox!
I just can't bring myself to part with my half buckle. It's ridiculous - I'm too long in the body for it, my baby is too big for it, there are sooo many reasons it doesn't belong here, but it is so pretty!
ETA: Just saw that there's a Babywearing Masterclass in Sydney on April 14. Registrations through Manduca website.
Hi all,
I'm an ergo user but have a largish bump at only 15 weeks pregnant so it's getting a little uncomfortable. A very lovely friend is sending a wrap for me to try and has suggested the double hammock carry as well. It feels weird using the stroller again so am looking forward to using a wrap with DD.
Veus I think I need some of the acronyms tooand one of the women in my mother's group has a Beco Gemini and she can carry forward facing.
